Prof. Piotr Ploszajski
Professor Emeritus at the Warsaw School of Economics and former Head of the Department of Management Theory (1994–2018). He holds a degree in management from the University of Lodz and is a graduate of Harvard Business School.
He has been a Research Scholar at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, and a fellow at esteemed institutions, including the British Academy, CNRS (France), Keio University (Japan), the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and DAAD (Germany), among others.
From 1987 to 1991, he served as Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences, later holding the role of Director General of the Polish Academy of Sciences from 1993 to 1998.
An accomplished scholar, he has authored over 200 publications, with his recent research focusing on the New Economy, the impact of technology on business models, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence.
As a Visiting Professor and lecturer, he has taught at numerous universities across Europe, the USA, Japan, India, Australia, and New Zealand. Additionally, he has worked as an advisor and lecturer for many Polish and international corporations and has served on the supervisory boards of multiple organizations.
He is also a member of the Advisory Board at the Chief Information Officer Network (CIONET).
