Games can be useful for simulating various business scenarios, introducing participants to situations that can happen or have already happened in your organization. Managers are given a tool that, on the one hand, integrates the team, strengthens relations between team members who do not have the opportunity to work together every day. On the other hand, in some games there can be unexpected debuts – people who do not have the space to take initiative on a daily basis, during the game can “surface” and show their hidden talents.

First Time Manager (FTM) training is a training program designed specifically for first-time managers or managers. It is a concentrated training designed to prepare new managers to effectively manage their teams and adapt to their new duties and responsibilities.

Games and simulations serve for managers much like flight simulators do for airline crews. Just as pilots train extensively to develop essential skills, establish effective habits, and prepare for unforeseen challenges—ensuring they can safely handle even emergency landings—business simulations recreate real-world challenges. When these simulations are gamified, they enable participants to enter a state of flow, where they become fully engaged and task-focused, allowing them to experiment and refine their skills in a safe environment.
A key component of every simulation-based workshop is a trainer-led discussion that thoroughly reviews all events, including player behavior and decision-making. The games are designed to evoke strong positive team emotions while also surfacing habitual behaviors, inspiring participants to modify those that are detrimental and to reinforce those that represent unique strengths.
The GC Index® (also known as The Game-Changing Index) is an organimetric system that empowers organizations to enhance performance and drive innovation through stronger teams. It represents a transformative approach to identifying and developing key talent by revealing how individuals at every level can optimally contribute to overall performance. Leveraging these insights, the GC Index® supports decision-making across business processes and boosts enterprise productivity. By aligning individuals and teams with roles and tasks where they are naturally engaged and motivated, organizations can achieve both higher employee satisfaction and increased productivity.
GC Index shows the impact and differences of approaches to action in the business process, it does not touch the psychological aspects of personality. It is not psychometrics, it is “organometrics.” It can be immediately applied to collaborate on the company’s strategy. Most other tools are based on psychometrics: they deal with aspects of personality and communication, sometimes competence. It is not always easy to translate this knowledge into practical aspects related to work, realization of goals, division of competencies and responsibilities.
Using GC Index you get three types of reports – team, individual and company-wide (organization impact map). They are very easy to read, using both numerical and descriptive data – with specific guidelines for use in a professional and strategic context. Other tools often offer a complicated report, which does not always provide answers for practical strategic action in the organization, requiring further work with a 1:1 coach.
Training based on games and simulations works well with groups of experienced managers, who have not only gone through a lot of training and know how they should act, but have a lot of practice behind them. The challenge here turns out to be the nuances, the small habits most often and most strongly revealed in exciting situations of change or uncertainty. Both practice and recent neuroscience research confirm that changing habits, while difficult, is possible. It requires two conditions: self-awareness of what to change and why, and time and coaching.
PowerShot is the training answer to the very busy calendars of leaders, management teams.
