January 17, 12.30-14.00
We invite you to the first leaders’ meeting of the “Strategy at the Crossroads” series in the New Year. This time in Gdansk, at the Business Zone business center.
Among leaders, managers, and those responsible for organizational transformation, we want to talk about strategy in changing, unpredictable times.
“We need more strategic thinking and less planning,” says Henry Mintzberg, professor of management at INSEAD.
We are seeing how the old thinking about strategic planning no longer fits the dynamic reality. Vision and strategic direction, combined with a readiness to change and adapt quickly, have become far more important than rigid plans. But are we ready for it?
Meeting topics:
– In the fast-paced world of BANI, VUCA – does strategic planning still make sense?
– Is cascading changes and decisions feasible at this rate?
– How do you turn a vision into an action plan?
– If not 20th century strategic planning, then what’s next?
Who is this meeting for?
- You are a leader and are looking for inspiration in the area of strategy definition and implementation.
- You appreciate the exchange of ideas, discussions in an interdisciplinary group of managers and leaders from different organizations.

Speakers:
Agnieszka Ceszlak – once a passionate artist, chemist, graduate of the University of Gdansk, now for 15 years associated with the pharmaceutical industry. For the past 9 years she has been Head of Analytical Department in the R&D Department at Polpharma S.A., the largest pharmaceutical company in Poland. She is responsible for a team of over 60 analysts, experts, co-developing second generation drugs. For the past 5 years, she has represented Polpharma in scientific consortia, bringing together pharmaceutical companies from around the world. Passionate about literature, art and tasting the world in different ways.
Karina Boszko – Head of Registration Services and Technical Customer Support.
Trained as a chemist, I have been involved in the pharmaceutical industry and in particular in the registration of active substances for more than 20 years. I have also represented Poland for 16 years as an expert cooperating with the European institution EDQM in the area of creating monographs of pharmaceutical substances.
I have been managing teams for over 17 years, initially one team now three with different responsibilities. I always put it down to being a Leader first and foremost, not a manager. In any organization people are the most important, without them there is no organization, no team and nothing will be achieved. Privately, I try to find a moment of relaxation most often in the garden.
