Magda Kochanowska, PhD
Magda is a product and visual communication designer by training.
She specializes in planning and executing design processes, with a strong focus on Service Design. With over a decade of experience, she has mastered a range of design tools and methods, allowing her to navigate projects across process, product, and service design seamlessly.
She has led projects and training sessions for organizations such as ING Bank Śląski, ING Bank N.V. (Netherlands), Santander Bank Polska (formerly BZ WBK), Millennium Bank, Saint-Gobain Polska, Nowy Styl Group, the Social Communication Center of the Warsaw City Hall, Szlachetna Paczka, Black Red White, and Mercer Services Polska.
Since 2005, she has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she earned her PhD in 2010 and her postdoctoral degree in 2020. She also taught at Universidad Europea de Madrid from 2011 to 2012. In 2020, she became Associate Dean for Education at the Faculty of Design, focusing on design methodologies, theory, and critique.
She currently leads the Service Design postgraduate program at SWPS University in Warsaw and was a co-founder of DESIGN PROVISION.
